"Everything you can imagine is real." ~ Picasso
With much enthusiasm and love for our organization, the Fund Development Committee is pleased to announce the launching of the $1,000 from 1000 Endowment Campaign. Our goal is to raise $1 million for The Links Foundation, Incorporated by May 30, 2014.
This campaign will help grow The Links Foundation, Incorporated's endowment fund and thus help to ensure its viability for years to come. We are inspired by the bold vision, deep passion, and great leadership of our national president, Margot James Copeland, who said "endowments are forever, and critical to protecting our organization."
As you know, with an endowed fund, only a portion of the interest or earnings from the endowment (typically 5%) is expended. Therefore, an endowment is our investment in the future, secured for posterity. The endowment fund is a long-term investment in fiscal viability and sustainability. The steady income will offer endless opportunities to expand and diversify the audiences we serve and help build and strengthen partnerships with appropriate organizations. JUST IMAGINE!!
Our committee's goal is to increase the power and outreach of our organization. Indeed we are committed to preserving and protecting - into perpetuity - the communities we love!
This makes your gift critical to the organization.
Our sincerest thanks go out to those who have supported our efforts thus far. In addition to this show of member support, we have received corporate contributions, and have been in discussion with a number of other potential corporate sponsors.
In addition to the joy of knowing that you are investing in the future of our Foundation-all members contributing to the $1,000 From 1000 Endowment Campaign will receive pins custom-designed by The Links Foundation, Incorporated, that commemorate giving at each level. We encourage everyone to join in and support of this very important work. Just imagine!!
We are also very interested in hearing your ideas. Please feel free to contact me, other Fund Development Committee members or the national headquarters. Additional information on how you can make The Links Foundation, Incorporated a beneficiary in your estate plan, wills, living trust or whole or universal life insurance will be available soon. Thank you for your support!
With sisterly love,
Chair, Fund Development
